La chèvre de la Crête du Lynx

La chèvre de la Crête du Lynx is a short, highly technical mountain bike line in the Sentiers du Moulin area near Lac-Beauport (Québec City region). It’s built as a dense “double noire” challenge: riders work through exposed, narrow sections and tight, technical skinning/rock-and-skinny moves paired with steep power climbs and sustained difficulty over a compact stretch.

Expect a one-direction ride and a trail that concentrates skill demands in a few moves—bridge/rock-face features and skinny elements are central to the problem. The line was opened in 2020, and it’s designed to be ridden clean; if you’re new to this kind of terrain, scout key sections on foot first so you know exactly where the commits happen.

Access is handled by Sentiers du Moulin, where a day pass or season membership is required (fees apply; free for Lac-Beauport residents). Because the trail relies on small technical shapes, performance drops quickly when conditions are wet or muddy, so plan to inspect the sketchy narrow/exposed sections before committing and be conservative if traction is poor.
