Langtang Trek Trail

Langtang Trek Trail is a classic Nepal long-distance hiking route in the Langtang region, commonly run as an out-and-back itinerary for acclimatization as altitude rises.

The core line of the route climbs from Syabrubesi (about 1,500 m) up through Langtang National Park forests and along the Langtang Khola corridor, reaching the alpine valley of Kyanjin Gompa (about 3,870 m).

Around mid/upper stages, the route passes through Tamang settlements and traditional village terrain, then continues into higher, more open terrain as you approach the Kyanjin Gompa area.

The Kyanjin Gompa side is typically used as a key acclimatization/arrival hub; from there, many trekkers add a further climb to Tserko Ri (about 5,033 m) or similar high viewpoint hikes.

In practical terms, a “classic” version of this trek is often planned around 11 days with an overall round-trip distance in the roughly 60–70 km range, with daily walking time commonly in the multi-hour range and terrain steepening at higher elevations.

For planning windows, the better trekking season is generally late spring to early summer and autumn, with March–May and September–December highlighted as strong periods for Langtang treks.
