Leave of Absence
Route Details
Leave of Absence is a downhill-only, introductory technical singletrack in the Alice Lake area of Squamish. Expect a hard-blue style ride with a short, punchy descent built around granite-slab sections plus wooden features and rollers.
The trail is known for techy details including bridges, ladder bridges, small drops, and rock faces. It’s also frequently used as a warm-up before riding other Alice Lake classics, often linked with Rupert and then continued to trails like Entrails or Rollercoaster.
Leave of Absence is about 1.3 km long with roughly 86 m of descent and an average ride time around 16 minutes. It’s very popular in summer (especially June to August), so plan around rider traffic if you’re trying to move through features cleanly.
