Mammouth
Mammouth is an expert mountain-bike line in the Sentiers du Moulin network at Lac-Beauport. It’s built as a singletrack descent featuring rock-focused technical riding, and it’s also used for fat biking in winter.
The trail was opened in 2023 and carries a multi-slab “expert” theme (AKA MSP, projet multislab, 18-24). Construction mixed hand-built sections with mechanically shaped segments, and the build work relied on volunteer hours—Dig SDM contributed about 2,000 hours—plus SDM field staff to refine drainage and minimize environmental impact.
For riding preparation, don’t just show up and send: scout the slabs/rocks you’ll be committing to on your first run so you can pick lines and adjust speed. Also treat wet or recently wet weather as sensitive here—plan to re-check current trail conditions before committing to the full descent when things are slick.
