Mountain bike run

Old Léon (Vieille Léon) is a technical singletrack in the Sentiers du Moulin riding area at Lac Beauport. It’s timed for descending, with an enduro-style feel and frequent obstacles that reward commitment—rock slabs and drops are common themes, along with tight singletrack.

Expect a hard riding experience: the descent covers roughly 1,151 m (3,776 ft) with about 76 m (249 ft) of drop and an average grade around 6.5%. The line is characterized by features riders move through rather than coast past, so plan for speed management and bike setup that can handle impacts and traction changes.

The route includes build features associated with the Leon signature trails, including items like berms, bridges, drops, jumps, and ladders, and it sits in the “old school” style of natural singletrack work. The trail portion’s construction is described as being built by hand (old-school, natural, with roots).

Riding season is generally May to October, and e-bikes are allowed up to Class 1. With wet weather, treat conditions as a real variable on this kind of trail—give the committed sections a quick pre-ride look and avoid riding when the surface is slick or pooled.
