Route Details

Iconic slab descent in the Maelstrom sector at Sentiers du Moulin. Continuous granite bedrock with rock faces, rock gardens, and a few ladder bridges. Rated black diamond and signed one-way, downhill only. Porous granite grips well—even in rain—but speed control is critical on the big rolls.

From the SDM parking, pedal the Tourbillon climb, then traverse Crête du Lynx to the Slab City terrace/start. Expect committed slab lines with optional ride-arounds limited. Class 1 e-bikes allowed. Typical season is May–October; a day pass is required.

Watch for wet moss, sniper edges between slabs, and braking holes near transitions. In humid or windy weather the exposed slabs can feel spicy; ride within sightlines and manage tires/pressure for rock. Intermediate riders can test the style on Vortex before committing here.
