Through the Looking Glass
Route Details
Through the Looking Glass is a blue-rated, two-way machine-groomed mountain bike trail in Squamish’s Alice Lake & Highlands area. It’s short—about 1.1 km—so it works well as a quick flow segment or as a connector inside longer rides.
The trail is intended for both directions, and it’s set up for smooth rolling riding rather than technical climbing. Expect moderate overall effort with roughly 41 m of climbing and 59 m of descent over the trail.
It opened in 2020 and was built by the Dream Wizards team; the trail also connects into the broader “Alice in Wonderland” themed network around Alice Lake and the Highlands.
Use the forest-floor rules: yield to uphill traffic on shared use, and plan to scout the surface before committing—especially after rain—since soil and drainage around local watercourses are part of the trail’s environmental sensitivity.
