Årestua / Guinn Mountain Hut
Årestua / Guinn Mountain Hut is a Colorado Mountain Club Boulder Group wilderness hut used for winter shelter for Nordic skiers, backcountry skiers, and snowshoers, located on the north side of Guinn Mountain at about 11,000 feet. The hut has a wood stove for heat and an outhouse nearby; for cooking, bring a backpacking stove.

Overnight use requires making reservations (including up to seven total overnight parties) and signing a CMC liability waiver prior to the trip; quiet hours are 10pm–7am. Access routes change by season: in summer, the Jenny Creek trail across Eldora property is closed and the hut is accessed via the Lost Lake trail system; in winter, Lost Lake and the Jenny Creek approach are used depending on Eldora’s opening status and operating hours. The hut is open for day visitors and overnight use all year long.
