Balor Hut
Balor Hut is a remote NPWS-managed heritage walkers’ hut and adjacent tent camping site in Warrumbungle National Park, in the Breadknife and Grand High Tops area. It sits on the Breadknife and Grand High Tops walking route and is reached on foot via a steep, stair-like ascent from the Pincham carpark (about a 6 km uphill hike).
Overnight stays use slab bunks inside the hut; there are also non-flush toilet facilities on site. The water supply is via a rainwater tank, with water treatment recommended before drinking. Use of open fire/campfires is permitted, and a fireplace is provided.
Expect backcountry conditions and plan to bring all necessary supplies and clothing for the weather; bedding is not provided in the hut. Park entry fees apply, and the hut/campsite requires booking in advance through the NSW National Parks Booking Service. Check local alerts for closures before you set out.
