Bivacco Andrea Tornior

Bivacco Andrea Tornior (also written Bivouac Andrea Tornior) is a backcountry hut near Colle di Thuras in Alta Valle di Susa, on a commonly used Italy–France crossing route. It was built in 2008 by the Tornior family in memory of their son Andrea, and it provides basic shelter for hikers passing through.

The hut sits just before Colle Thuras at 2,552 m and has 6 sleeping places with a table and benches. On-site supplies are limited: there’s no drinking water, no fireplace, stove, shower, or toilets; mattresses are provided, and there are only a small number of blankets, so cold-weather readiness matters.
