Cabane de Pialot
Cabane de Pialot is a small backcountry shelter in the Cévennes National Park, just behind the Baraque de Pialot, at about 1,234 m. It’s an unstaffed building in the forest that you use for shelter in bad weather rather than for planned overnight stays.
Inside, there’s a fireplace and a stove/wood-heating setup, plus basic sleeping and household items like covers and toilets. Access is via the GR66 and GR71 routes; use it as a free stop on long-distance walking days through this Mont Aigoual sector. A note from 2020 describes an additional small tiled outbuilding behind it that may also work as an emergency storm shelter.
