Camp Mumake

Camp Mumake is a backcountry hut used as a night stop on the guided Lost City trek (La Ciudad Perdida) in Colombia’s Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta region. It’s a jungle-basecamp-style stop where trekkers typically arrive after a day’s hiking from the prior camp, then continue onward the next day as part of the same multi-day trek itinerary.

For planning, the Lost City trek is commonly booked as a guided, multi-day package through licensed operators; Camp Mumake is one of the camps included on that fixed route. Accommodation at these camps is basic, typically with communal sleeping arrangements such as bunks or hammocks with mosquito netting.
