Camp Vieux Broussard

Camp Vieux Broussard is a remote wilderness carbet/shelter used by hikers in French Guiana near the Voltaire Falls area. It’s a low-elevation spot (about 104 m) meant for simple, rustic stopovers while traveling through the jungle waterfalls route.

Use is off-grid: expect no electricity or running water, and plan to filter drinking water. It’s typically equipped with a covered sleeping area with basic platforms/hooks, and waste management is handled with composting toilets; bring your own hammock or mosquito protection and other essential shelter gear.
