Capitelle d'Alix

Alpine hutCapitelle d'Alix is a small dry-stone agricultural shelter (a capitelle) in France’s Garrigues area. The façade has a flat front, a central door, and an almost flat roof; the structure is about 1.3 m high, with an interior depth of about 1 m and an interior width of about 1.6 m. The base is built from vertical stones for about 0.4 m, and it was restored in February 2006.
Access is permitted. Plan on it functioning as a basic backcountry shelter rather than a staffed hut: bring your own shelter provisions and assume you may be there overnight without any services.
