Capitelle du Grand Bois
Capitelle du Grand Bois is a dry-stone shelter (capitelle) in the Bernis garrigue. it is being in very good condition and was restored by the Amis de Bernis.
The shelter sits along the Sentier des capitelles bernissoises, a short discovery loop that includes nine capitelles (dry-stone structures built without mortar) and a small water catchment (aiguier) at the base of a limestone outcrop. The Amis de Bernis maintain the trail with a volunteer group (“clapassa’res”) working about half a day per week from September to May, and the site is used by hikers and cyclists.
