Capitelle le Belvedère

Capitelle le Belvedère is a dry-stone capitelle (small stone shelter) near Aramon. It’s a small, isolated structure built with limestone dry-stone masonry, sized about 2.50 m long, 1.80 m wide, and with walls roughly 1.75 m high (total structure height about 2.65 m).

The shelter is associated with the local work protecting and restoring the “capitelles” along the Aramon paths; volunteers maintain the nearby routes and repair or restore older dry-stone structures as needed. Use is straightforward backcountry shelter use—bring your own supplies for an overnight, and treat it as a basic stone refuge rather than a serviced hut.
