Route Details

Cayoosh Cabin (alt. Cayoosh Hut) is an alpine wilderness hut in the Sea-to-Sky / Duffey Lake backcountry zone, used for winter and overnight backcountry trips. Use is free and there’s no fee or paid booking process; it’s effectively first-come, first-served.

The hut has a wood-burning stove and an outhouse. It’s a small, two-level cabin with a kitchen area and sleeping space sized for roughly 6 people, so bring your own sleeping gear and plan for limited capacity when it’s busy.

Because it isn’t reservable, expect to arrive and find it full at times; if you want an alternate plan, carry winter camping gear (or a tent/snow shelter option) as contingency rather than relying on the hut for every member of your party.
