Eatonville Bunkhouse

Eatonville Bunkhouse is a backcountry shelter in Cape Chignecto Provincial Park. It’s set up as a remote hut but is described as relatively reachable by road via Eatonville Road/Cutoff Road, which helps make it a common base for hikers using the Cape Chignecto area.

The bunkhouse sleeps up to 8 people on plywood single bunk beds. It has a wood stove with firewood, plus a nearby outhouse and an accessible water supply; there’s no electricity, and no mattresses or bedding are provided.

Book and reserve the bunkhouse through Nova Scotia’s provincial parks reservation system (select the “Backcountry” tab during booking). For the Cape Chignecto park area, the 2026 operating season runs May 15 to October 12.
