Familia Chiriapo

Familia Chiriapo is a remote mountain hut in Ecuador’s Zamora Chinchipe province, located in the El Pangui canton near Quebrada Quimbuimi. It’s generally used for backcountry overnights rather than developed lodging, so expect a rustic setup rather than full services.

At 943 m elevation, it can serve as a base for day hiking in the El Pangui area, including routes toward nearby attractions such as the Cascada Pailón.
