Four à Pain

Four à Pain is a renovated communal bread oven in Vissec that now serves as a rustic stopover refuge for hikers in the Cirque de Navacelles area. It’s a Caussenard-style stone structure with a lauze roof, restored by the town.

Use is arranged through the Mairie de Vissec (town hall). Contact the mairie to book the refuge space; administrative office hours are Tuesday 10:00–16:00. The oven has a long communal history dating back to the 13th century, and it still functions today as a local meeting point and walking refuge.
