Sydney Vallance (Fryatt) Hut is an Alpine Club of Canada backcountry hut in the Fryatt Valley area of Jasper National Park. It’s a small hut that sleeps 12, with heat, propane lighting and propane stove provisions, and a wood-burning heat source; water is from the creek and the bathroom is an outhouse. The hut has a fireplace and use requires booking (reservation required).

It’s used as a base for both summer and winter objectives in the Fryatt Valley. Summer access is described with a 23 km approach and about 765 m elevation gain, while winter access involves a 24.9 km approach and about 1320 m elevation gain; winter trip planning should account for avalanche terrain. The hut is open year-round, and rates are listed for member and non-member bookings (starting from $50 member / $60 non-member for standard).
