Guagua Pichincha Refuge

Guagua Pichincha Refuge (Refugio del Volcán Pichincha) is the overnight base on Ecuador’s active Pichincha Volcano ascent from the Lloa side. It sits at high altitude (about 4,557 m) and is used primarily for acclimatization and as a staging point for day climbs to Guagua Pichincha and onward routes across the Pichincha peaks.
