Hemlock Hut
Route Details
Hemlock Hut is a Revelstoke Backcountry Guides off-grid backcountry hut used for guided, catered small-group ski touring in the Selkirk Mountains near Revelstoke. The hut is a cabin-style alpine shelter with a 225 sq. ft. footprint, designed around a tight group size—sleeping is set up for 4 guests in a private sleeping loft with two double beds.
Trips are helicopter-accessed with morning heli-transfers to the hut and an out-bound heli-transfer back to Revelstoke at the end of the trip. The program is built for advanced-to-expert riders and centers on mid-winter ski touring from about 2000 m, with typical runs in the ~250–850 m range and around ~1200 m of elevation gain per day for most groups. Meals and guiding are included; bedding/sleeping bags are handled as linen provided while guests bring their own sleeping bag.
