Jackfish Lake Cabin
Jackfish Lake Cabin is a backcountry wilderness hut in Manitoba along the Épinette Creek trail system. It’s part of the same winter backcountry network used for winter camping in Spruce Woods Provincial Park.
There are no usage fees for the cabin itself, but overnight stays require mandatory registration with first-come, first-served access. It is open for bookings during winter (December 1 to March 31). You’ll need to arrange vehicle access with a Manitoba Provincial Parks pass, and the hike to reach the cabin is relatively long as part of the connected loop route (about 41.2 km for the full loop). Water pumps along the Epinette Creek trails can occasionally be out of order, so bring your own water filter; mobile service is limited and a satellite communication device is recommended.
