Kaiaraara Hut

Kaiaraara Hut is a Department of Conservation serviced backcountry hut on Great Barrier Island (Aotea) in the Auckland region. It has 28 bunk beds across two rooms, with a wood stove, gas cooking facilities, cold running water, and one toilet; drinking water should be boiled before use.

Bookings are required in advance. Fees apply (including adult, youth, and child/infant rates), and the hut uses hut tickets/passes as specified in the booking information. Booking is for a bunk bed (not a specific bunk), and there are rules around behaviour, including alcohol-related conduct.
