Keene Farm Hut
The Keene Farm hut is located in the Adirondack Park, near the village of Keene in northern New York State, USA. More precisely, it is about 160 km from Montreal, or approximately 60 km southwest of the city of Plattsburgh. This 105-acre property of forest and meadows offers a hut that can accommodate 32 people and numerous camping sites. Keene Farm is the only hut operated by the ACC that is located outside of Canada.
The two-story log hut and campground are open year-round. The hut is equipped with a propane gas system for cooking and two wood stoves for heating. No electricity is available except for lighting powered by solar panels. There is a porch at the entrance and a large front balcony, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining and gathering room, and two dormitories with foam mattresses upstairs. There is a well for water.
