Malloy Igloo

Malloy Igloo is a small, basic backcountry shelter on the Malloy Glacier area near Osprey Peak in Bugaboo Park. It has no amenities, so expect to be fully self-sufficient.

Use is first-come, first-served with no booking system. Access runs through glacier terrain and is suited only to experienced parties who can manage glacier travel; the common land approach links from Conrad Kain Hut and is about 13 km one-way, with roughly 762 m of elevation change. The shelter’s remoteness and glacier crossing requirements make it an emergency-shelter style option rather than a comfortable overnight stop.
