Megunticook Ski hut

Megunticook Ski hut (often called the Megunticook Cabin) sits on the northern side of Mount Megunticook in Camden Hills State Park and functions as a backcountry-style ski shelter. It sleeps up to 6 people on bunk beds and is built for off-grid stays: there’s no electricity or running water. A fieldstone wood-burning fireplace is provided along with a vault toilet/outhouse; bring lanterns and your own sleeping gear and drinking-water plan.

Reservations are required through Camden Hills State Park. The cabin is accessible by foot, bicycle, skis, or snowmobile only (no vehicle access). Pricing is about $54.50 per night for the first 6 campers, plus about $5.45 for each additional camper; split, seasoned firewood is provided for a small fee. The cabin is available year-round for reservations, and it’s used by skiers, snowshoers, and snowmobile riders.
