Middle Mountain Cabins
Middle Mountain Cabins are a set of three historic cabins in the Monongahela National Forest near Wymer, West Virginia (Randolph County). They include the Main Cabin plus Cabins 1 and 2, built in 1931 in a rustic style; the Main Cabin is a one-story log building, while Cabins 1 and 2 are one-story frame buildings built as mirrored pairs.
The cabins were originally built to provide quarters for fire lookouts and to support other Forest Service operations, and they’ve since been converted for recreational use with availability for rental as a group. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 27, 1990.
