Mountain Lake Hut

Mountain Lake Hut is a BCMC backcountry hut with front-door access to alpine terrain near Britannia Beach (BCMC). The hut sleeps 8, works on an honour system for payment, and uses codes for access after payment.

Bookings are made online and can be reserved up to 180 days in advance. Rates are $20 per person/night for non-members and $10 per person/night for BCMC members. Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and guests are expected to pack it in/pack it out (no garbage facilities). Pets/dogs are not permitted, and the hut is non-smoking.

The propane system is locked, with access codes provided on payment. If you’re accessing via the Sea to Sky Highway, gate access may require the Furry Creek Gate Key policy; otherwise access is on foot or by bicycle only. The area is described as a harsh mountain environment, so plan and pack for rugged conditions. Non-cancellation refunds and other booking restrictions apply around hazardous conditions and road access; cancellations made less than 7 days before the first night aren’t refunded.
