Nordic Council Warming Hut

Nordic Council Warming Hut is the Skyway warming shelter on Grand Mesa, used by Nordic ski groups as a place to warm up and gather before and after skiing. It is woodstove-heated, with firewood and stove-use instructions kept inside, and it functions on lesson days for meeting, sign-in, and warming between sessions.

The hut is positioned to support the Skyway Trail System’s skiing and associated activities, including ski clinics and events. Use is free, with the organizer suggesting a daily donation or annual membership to help support trail grooming and maintenance.
