Owlhead Chalet
Owlhead Chalet is a backcountry warming hut in the Owlhead sledding area near Sicamous, British Columbia. It’s used as a mid-mountain rest stop for snowmobilers and can also be used by hikers and backcountry skiers during the winter riding season.
It’s maintained by the Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club and is intended for day use rather than overnight stays or advance booking. Winter trail access requires a fee, payable at the staging area, with trail passes sold at the trailhead by EVSC staff; payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, and debit.
Plan on packing in what you need and taking everything out that you bring. Sign-in at the cabins is recommended so the club has your planned riding area for the day, and emergencies can be reported to 911.
