Peter Grubb Hut is a Sierra Club backcountry wilderness hut in the Tahoe region, set just off the Pacific Crest Trail near Castle Peak and Boreal Ski Resort (Round Valley area). It’s a human-power-access hut reached by about a 3-mile hike or ski approach year-round.

Expect a rustic interior with an upstairs sleeping loft (up to 15 guests), a main room with a wood-burning stove and kitchen area, plus side rooms for firewood/storage. A two-story outhouse sits about 75 ft west of the hut, and the hut is used as a base for skiing and hiking into nearby terrain (day trips to Paradise Valley, Basin Peak, Castle Peak, and Sand Ridge Lake are common).
