R.C. Hind Hut

R.C. Hind Hut is a wilderness backcountry hut in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, operated through Mount Assiniboine Lodge. It’s a mountain-climber basecamp in Assiniboine Bowl, at high elevation, and the booking process is handled by the lodge rather than through the main BC Parks reservation system.

The hut fee is charged per person (plus a reservation fee), and reservations are required through the lodge. For bookings, use the lodge email info@assiniboinelodge.com; the operator contact details are on the lodge’s booking pages.

Operational details: the hut has one room, sleeps 16, and includes a propane stove with fuel plus cooking items and an emergency radio phone; there is also an outhouse. Access to Hind Hut from Magog Lake follows the Gmoser Highway; fires are prohibited in the park core area.
