Refugi Baiau "Josep Maria Montfort"

Refugi Baiau “Josep Maria Montfort” is a backcountry hut operated by Federació d'Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya in the Parc Natural de l'Alt Pirineu, in the Circ de Baiau above the upper Baiau lake. It sits at 2,517 m and provides shelter for overnight trips for up to 18 people.

Use is limited to emergency shelter and it’s not for leisure. Overnight stays are only for cases where sleeping there is essential, and access inside the hut is limited to emergencies (accident or bad weather). When leaving, take your belongings with you and don’t leave food, litter, or personal items; respect the hut interior and its surroundings.
