Refugi del Coll de Banyuls

Refugi del Coll de Banyuls is a backcountry hut operated by Centre Excursionista Empordanès, set on the Coll de Banyuls (Albera). It sleeps 12 people and includes a fireplace. Use is permissive, and the hut is associated with a historical disused military bunker.

Access is vehicle-oriented: it sits very close to the road at the summit of the Coll de Banyuls. Plan for water autonomy—nearby sources are not immediately adjacent to the hut—so carry enough for the approach and between segments. The hut works well as a staging stop on long traverses through the Albera area.
