Refugio de montaña Yacuambi

Refugio de montaña Yacuambi is a 65 m² mountain dome used as an overnight backcountry stop in the sector of Condorcillo (within the Área Ecológica de Conservación Municipal de Yacuambi), at about 3,600 m. It sits near the Saraguro–Yacuambi road and is aimed at visitors who want a simple base for exploring the Yacuambi–Saraguro area.

Inside, it has an area for sleeping (plus a kitchen and a chimney). The facility also includes a bathroom, showers, sinks, and water intake points. Use is free, but you must reserve your stay by contacting the local administrators at 096 085 5751 or 098 575 4653.
