Refugio Los Tabaquillos

Refugio Los Tabaquillos is a backcountry hut in the Traslasierra valley near Los Hornillos (Córdoba), at about 1,980 m. It sits on the approach/route system for the Cerro de La Ventana hike, positioned after the first refuge and before the steeper final climb toward the summit.

Getting there is typically done on foot from Los Hornillos, with the full trek to the hut taking on the order of several hours one way. Entry to the broader Los Hornillos biodiversity reserve is controlled, and trekking requires a conservation bond paid during mandatory registration; fire is not allowed in the area, so plan on a liquid-fuel/heat source rather than an open fire.
