Refúgio Pedra Preta

Refúgio Pedra Preta is a backcountry alpine hut used as a support point for climbing and outdoor exploration around Cambuquira, Minas Gerais. It’s associated with the Pedra Preta climbing area (also tied to Fazenda Pedra Preta) and functions as a base for groups approaching the rock for sports climbing and rappel sessions.

The Pedra Preta area is reached via the road toward Congonhal, with the approach described as going past the “Árvore Torta” and then continuing toward the Pedra Preta sign. The climbing access includes short approach walks (on the order of a few minutes) from the support area, with water available directly from a spring.
