Rieveley Pond Hut
Route Details
Rieveley Pond Hut is a backcountry hut on the Sunshine Coast Trail, built close to the edge of Rieveley’s Pond. It’s an open shelter with an enclosed main floor on three walls and a sleeping loft, and it sleeps 10. Amenities include an outhouse, picnic table, and a fire pit, with a sleeping loft for overnight stays.
For a day trip, you can reach the hut by driving up Wilde/Tomkinson Road for about 2 km to the well-signed Theodosia FSR Br.10 turning left, then follow Br.10 uphill about 3 km to a road crest with a wide pullout where the SCT crosses—Rieveley Pond Hut is about a half hour off to the right. The hut is also positioned as a hut-to-hut option that connects well with Appleton Canyon Trail or Marathon Trail. Approach silently.
