Selby Alley Hut
Selby Alley Hut is a free emergency and bushwalker shelter in Barrington Tops National Park (NSW), used as a first-come, first-served stop for multi-day trips on the Barrington Tops walk networks. It’s a basic shelter set in subtropical rainforest, positioned across from a stream that runs toward Basden Falls, with an open fire for cooking in shelter.
The hut sleeps 9 people (triple bunk configuration). Firewood is needed for the open fire, and any nearby stream water should be treated before drinking. Plan on cold and changeable conditions—snow and extreme weather can occur on the Barrington Plateau—so bring your full-season gear and carry a contingency plan since the hut can’t be reserved.
