Snowspider Hut

Snowspider Hut is a small backcountry cabin on the Twin One–Van Horlick pass area. It’s set up for winter use: the hut has a wood stove for heat, a three-burner propane cookstove, and an open-wall outhouse. Sleeping space is limited (capacity 4: 4 in the loft and 2 on the floor).

There’s no locked-access setup and no reservations are required, with use coordinated through a non-reservation registration process. A $15 CAD per person, per night fee applies, typically paid via the donation method provided for the hut (Showpass donation or cash in the blue drop box). Winter access often leaves the hut snowed over, so plan for navigation to find it; approach options include Van Horlick FSR, Twin One FSR, or via Vantage col from the Flavelle (Cerise) Hut access.
