Spruce Pine Hollow Shelter

Spruce Pine Hollow Shelter is a basic three-sided shelter on the Tuscarora Trail, maintained by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC). It’s paired with nearby tent camping spots and is set in Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area, West Virginia.

Use is free and it’s first-come, first-served—no official reservation system is required. PATC provides camping-support details for the Sleepy Creek/Tuscarora Trail area, including mention of a nearby privy and a spring for water; bring your own food and water-planning supplies for the day you arrive.
