Stratton Brook Hut is a Maine Huts & Trails backcountry hut reached by a people-powered ascent via their trail network. It’s the operator’s highest-elevation hut, and the typical approach climbs about 675 ft to get up to the hut from the trailhead network.

The hut has hot showers, a full commercial kitchen, heated private bunkrooms, electricity, and plumbing, with composting toilets and hot water for stays. The official capacity is 44 (10 bunkrooms), and reservations are recommended; groups stay in private accommodations (no shared rooms with other groups). It’s open in both summer and winter for day visits and overnight stays, with winter day hours on Saturdays and Sundays (12:00–2:00 p.m.) and summer access on weekends plus full-hut rentals during the week.

For getting there, the route options described by the operator include Route 27/Stratton Brook Trailhead with the shortest route up via Newton’s Revenge Trail, and Airport Trailhead via Crommett’s Overlook Trail as a less steep option; winter gear shuttles leave from the Airport Trailhead.
