Strawberry safery shelter
Strawberry safery shelter is a free-to-use wilderness backcountry shelter in the Bridger-Teton National Forest area near Pinedale, Wyoming. It’s maintained for emergency refuge use and is set up as a basic stop for snowmobilers, cyclists, and backcountry travelers, with no reservations accepted—plan on first-come, first-served use.
The shelter is typically equipped with a wood stove and includes a fireplace (wood-stove use implied by the emergency-shelter setup). Use is free, and it’s commonly used as an overnight/contingency shelter by travelers on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR) and similar backcountry routes.
