Strawberry Shelter
Strawberry Shelter is a small backcountry day-use shelter in the Strawberry Pass area of the Castlegar Nordic network. The shelter is part of a chain of free public cabins used for winter cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, providing warmth and protection from the weather during the day.
Use is first-come, first-served and free public day use; overnight stays are not permitted in these cabins. It is operated by Friends of the Rossland Range (FORRS), and the shelter network is managed as a volunteer-run recreation site near Rossland on Highway 3.
