TQ Shelter

TQ Shelter is a remote wilderness warm-up cabin on the shores of Bankside Lake in Saskatchewan’s Wildcat Hill Provincial Wilderness Park. It’s used for day use and winter warm-ups, with facilities like a wood stove, benches, and an outhouse, plus chopped wood available near the shelter.

Use is free and there’s no reservation system—plan on first-come, first-served access. The shelter is maintained by the Hudson Bay Trail Riders Club volunteers; in this remote area there’s typically no cell service, so be ready to navigate and communicate without coverage.
