Venta espagnole

Venta espagnole (cabane de Kondendiagako) is a very basic, unmanaged backcountry shelter aimed at emergency cover rather than comfort. It’s an old ruined venta, in very poor condition, but it can still provide protection and a place to sleep on the ground in bad weather.

Sleeping is limited: the shelter provides space for up to 4 people. There’s no reservation system—use is first-come, first-served—so arrive prepared for the possibility that all spots are already taken. Bring your own sleeping mat and sleeping bag; spare insulation and supplies are important.

If you’re approaching on foot, it sits about a 15-minute walk from Col de Liziunaga using the HRP (Haute Randonnée Pyrénéenne) markers in reverse direction.
