vestige de capitelle-tine

Vestige de capitelle-tine is a historical dry-stone shelter complex in the garrigue style around Caveirac (Gard). The structure is built in dry stone masonry and includes a capitelle attached to a tine, with the tine used traditionally as a cuvier/drying-deposit space for harvesting (olives or grapes).

This is an archaeological “vestige” rather than a mountain refuge: plan on using it only as a historic shelter to visit and document, not as accommodation. If you’re doing a cultural hike in the area, treat it as part of the local stone-patrimony network (capitelles/tines/courtyards, clapas, and enclos) rather than an overnight stopping point.
