Yanacancha
Yanacancha is a backcountry alpine hut used for mountain trekking in the Huascarán region. It’s a shared, self-maintained hut setup: expect communal sleeping and use of common kitchen/living space, with guests responsible for keeping the hut clean and organized during their stay.
Plan around ACC-style hut rules: check-in is at 1:00pm and check-out at 11:00am; no camping or tents are permitted outside the hut; quiet hours run from 10:00pm to 7:00am; pets are not allowed; and open flames are prohibited in the hut (no outdoor fires). Bring your own sleeping bag, and be ready to carry out your garbage.
